We started Allied We Can Cross the Aisle to have real, honest conversations across political divides. But here’s the truth: getting conservatives to join us on the show hasn’t been easy.
In today’s climate, people on both sides are afraid.
Afraid of being misrepresented. Afraid of being attacked. Afraid of being seen talking to “the other side.” The pressure to stay in our echo chambers is real, and powerful. Some conservatives worry they’ll walk into a setup. Others just don’t believe dialogue is possible anymore.
But here’s what’s worse: if we don’t talk, we drift further apart. We lose our shared reality. We stop seeing each other as people—and start seeing enemies.
That’s exactly how democracy dies.
We need these conversations. Not just polite ones, but tough ones. About immigration, racism, corruption, inequality, and the future of this country. Conversations where we listen to understand, not just to respond. We may not agree, but we’ll come away with insight, not just outrage.
🎙️ If you’re a conservative, moderate, or recovering partisan who’s ready to have that kind of conversation, we want to hear from you.

This is how we reclaim common ground: by stepping onto it, together.
